The lipgloss for the lipgloss sceptic

I’ve never been much of a lipgloss person. A quick look into my make up collection would show you that I’m more into the lipstick side of things. I usually find them too sticky (am I the only one with the power of transforming the weather into a windy hell just wearing lipgloss?) or not pigmented enough, or too shinny. But when Tanya Burr launched her own lipgloss range I immediately forgot about all of that and ordered three of them (if like me you live outside the UK, you can easily find them on

I am converted. Tanya Burr lipglosses are insanely amazing. Lovely shades with even better names (which is the important thing, right?), an incredible pigmentation, enough to create a full on lip just with a bit of lipliner underneath, and they feel incredibly smooth and moisturizing on the lips. What else a girl can ask for, especially a lipgloss sceptic like me?
I own Chic (the perfect on the go nude), Vampire Kiss (an intense dark red) and my favorite out of the three, Exotic Island, a plummy pink perfect for that autumn days when you want a plum lip but you’re not in the mood for Mac Rebel* (insert your favorite plum lipstick here).
Although they look amazing fully applied, when I don’t fell like wearing a very shinny lip I dab them a little bit with my finger, creating a glossy stain that lasts for hours.
And if those were not enough reasons to get your hands on them, let me tell you that they’re incredibly affordable, especially considering they feel (and look. Have you seen the packaging?) completely high end. No more excuses not to join the boat of lipgloss lovers.
Anyone else is dreaming with Tanya creating a matching lipstick range? Only me?

¿Sólo yo lo he pensado?

I’m a lipgloss sceptic myself. Especially because my lips become super dry very fast while wearing lipgloss. Love your post, btw! I think you made me buy some to try them out, too. I’ve been looking for a good lipgloss everywhere [that isn’t hella expensive. :D)

  4. […] guess by now you’ve heard me rave enough about my all-time favourite lipglosses by Tanya Burr Cosmetics, which I think have no rival in the market at the moment. But that doesn’t necessarily mean that […]

  5. […] may not remember, but my very first blog post here, almost a year ago, was a review of Tanya Burr Cosmetics lipglosses (which I keep saying, are my favourite lipglosses out there). A year after that, I can say that […]
